Can Herceptin Be Given - about 3 years post chemo?

Hi everyone and sorry if this was posted elsewhere at this site.

I was diagnosed back in 2002 and was in the clinical trial for Herceptin that DID NOT receive Herceptin. I was devastated to be in that arm of the trial since even then I thought herceptin was a miracle drug for those of us that have the HER2/NEU oncogene.

Am I able to get Herceptin now? I will discuss this with my onc in about 2 weeks, but I would like to know what the official word is on this for those of us who have completed chemo a couple years ago.

Thanks in advance!

Herceptin now

Nancy,

There are two threads regarding this issue if you scroll down a bit. They are titled: Late Herceptin and Herceptin 4 years out. Lots of good responses. I think you will be quite pleased.
