Anyone having trouble getting Avastin?

I am considering all my options right now. When I asked my onc about adding Avastin to either Xeloda or dropping Xeloda and doing Avastin/Tykerb; the answer was no. I know some have had success on Avastin so I would like to give it a try. If the FDA does pull it, will we still be able to get it in trials?

My biopsy was yesterday and surprisingly I slept through it. I guess they gave me a nice dosage of happy drugs.

Re: Anyone having trouble getting Avastin?

Tonya,

Even though the FDA may pull Avastin, it may still be available off-label, according to this NYT article (see the paragraph starting "By a 12-to-1 vote last week ...").

I'm glad that you slept through the biopsy. That's the best.

Joan
