My WebpageMy mom found bc in right side in 1981. Had mastectomy and chemo. In 1986 reoccurance caused her to need radiation. All was well for 14 years. Dr. couldn't believe it when they found lung mets in 2000. Went on chemo-taxol and herceptin-and went into partial remission. Found nodules in the liver and needed more treatment. This has been on and off until now. The herceptin has weakened her heart some so she off of that now. It has strengthened itself before from herceptin. But their saying there's not much left to try and she's getting more and more sick. From the cancer, the chemo or both. I don't think she's ready to give up yet. Just when I think she's giving in she tells me she's eating cabbage because she heard it's good for the lungs! She's a fighter. Anyone have words of wisdom?
