Smile Lat Flap question

Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I last posted, but fortunately I have been busy interviewing for a new job, remodeling our kitchen, and this past week, recuperating from the flu. And I thought chemo was bad. Of course with the first signs of anything I start to panic and slowly go through my checklist. Again, it is a strange world where we are GLAD to have just the flu. I still have a lot of congestion in my lungs, but I am slowly getting better.
Anyway, I have a new bc survivor friend here in Denver who is considering a Lat Flap and would like to email or talk with a "real person" who has had this procedure. Her surgeon assures her there are very few complications, but she has heard there can be considerable limitation of range of motion.
If anyone has had this procedure, please respond and let me know if you would be willing to talk with her or email her.
By the way, she is a 2 time survivor, a nurse, and a super person too!
Thanks for any help and keep smiling!
Emelie

I had it done. Would be more than happy to call her or her call me. There are a few things that she needs to take into consideration. Email me privately and I will give you my home phone number. - kim klarson@hatchagency.com

In addition to getting the input from the ladies here, your friend may want to check out www.breastcancer.org and their Community Knowledge Exchange section. There is a special board just for discussion on reconstruction. There are a lot of gals over there who have had lat flap done, as well as a lot of archived discussions on the procedure.
