Hi I was diagnosed in October 2003 with infiltrating ductile carcinoma. I had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal. Determined to have stage III breast cancer 10 out of 15 lymph nodes positive her2neu 3+ hormone receptor negative. No mets detected via scans anywhere else in body (thankfully!!). Treatment involved dose densing chemotherapy - 4 A/C and 4 taxol. Took shots of neupogen to help with blood counts since treatments were every 2 weeks. Did have port put in. After chemo did 33 treatments of radiation then started herceptin treatments - just finished my 5th weekly treatment. Plan is to do 4 months (16 treatments of herceptin) than only time will tell. I am doing really well - feel great. I have been doing alot of complimentary things such as acupuncture and herbs. I had neuropathy from the taxol and it pretty much went away I have just noticed in the past week that I have tingling back in some fingers and bottoms of my feet. Is this common? Does the neuropathy get progressively worse with the herceptin treatments? Any input from anyone would be great! thanks!! karen
