But I DO know when I will be back again. Sept 28. Love that Carole King song and it comes into my head whenever I am getting ready for a trip! That means since the late '60's! (Yeah, my age is showing in more ways than one ...)
From this Sunday till return I will have little or no internet contact. Expensive where I am going. So, my sweet sisters and brothers, take good care of each other and I will keep positive thoughts for good news here upon my return. Hubby is going with me, so I will have a good escort who speaks the language.

MY STORY SO FAR ~~~~
Found suspicious lump 9/2000
Lumpectomy, then node dissection and port placement
Stage IIB, 8 pos nodes of 18, Grade 3, ER & PR -
Adriamycin 12 weekly, taxotere 4 rounds
36 rads - very little burning
3 mos after rads liver full of tumors, Stage IV Jan 2002, one spot on sternum
Weekly Taxol, Navelbine, Herceptin for 27 rounds to NED!
2003 & 2004 no active disease - 3 weekly Herceptin + Zometa
Jan 2005 two mets to brain - Gamma Knife on Jan 18
All clear until treated cerebellum spot showing activity on Jan 2006 brain MRI & brain PET
Brain surgery on Feb 9, 2006 - no cancer, 100% radiation necrosis - tumor was still dying
Continue as NED while on Herceptin & quarterly Zometa
Fall-2006 - off Zometa - watching one small brain spot (scar?)
2007 - spot/scar in brain stable - finished anticoagulation therapy for clot along my port-a-catheter - 3 angioplasties to unblock vena cava
2008 - Brain and body still NED! Port removed and scans in Dec.
Dec 2008 - stop Herceptin - Vaccine Trial at U of W begun in Oct. of 2011
STILL NED everywhere in Feb 2014 - on wing & prayer
7/14 - Started twice yearly Zometa for my bones
Jan. 2015 checkup still shows NED
2015 Neuropathy in feet - otherwise all OK - still NED.
Same news for 2016 and all of 2017.
Nov of 2017 - had small skin cancer removed from my face. Will have Zometa end of Jan. 2018.

Diagnosed June, 06, Stage I, Grade3, ER+PR- Her2positive, No Nodes. A/C X 4. Radiation 33 with boost, Herceptin every two weeks until Nov.
07, Arimedex for 5 years. Mugas and Echo and chest xRay. Bone scan of whole Body, and Back of Brain and spine MRI.
CT scan of Lungs every six months
due to two small places. December
2009, bone scan due to bone pain.
Follow up test in 2010.

Stopped Arimidex July 2014- Restarted Arimidex 2015 for a further two years on the advice of my Onc.
2014 Normal Dexa scan
2018 Mammo all clear, still NED!

Hi all -
Guess I heard Carole King cover that song, but my chemo brain may have me all mixed up!
We are heading for Russia. If it's Monday, it must be Moscow. Then on to the far eastern side and back again.
My dear hubby bought the proper masks to wear on the planes. The ones that are limited to 5 per person at our pharmacy. We do have our vitamins with us. Main problem over there is we can't drink the tap water. It must be boiled or out of a bottle.
Back to arranging the suitcases!

WOW Steph, Russia sounds like a nice place to visit. I know a few people who have gone and they just loved it and all the history to see. Have a WONDERFUL time.

WOW!!! Have fun!!! When our cat was younger, whenever we would sing that song she would come running into the room, purring like mad...just that song...it was really funny!!! Must have been the off pitch voices! XO Suzan

2 days later, massive hive outbreak. This led to an eventual dx of Chronic Ideopathic Urticaria, an auto-immune disease from HELL.
6-14-17 12 YEAR CANCERVERSARY!!
still suffering from CIU. 4 hospitilizations in the past year
as of today, 10-31-17 in remission from CIU and still, CANCER FREE!!!
6-14-18 13 YEAR CANCERVERSARY!! NED!!
