There are still days i wonder whats next but most days are good days. Wondering if we will stay on the AI few extra years.
Best wish to you all, lov ya and thankya

Suzanne - Thanks for posting your good news that you are doing well. Having raised 2 sons I can say you are entering some possible challenging times - yet fun and rewarding as well. Keep strong, enjoy that young man, and good health to you.

Re: been awhile..doing great

Hi Suzanne!

I am so happy everything is going well for you. I was just thinking about you but I figured you were doing just fine.

I did want to comment on your reference to staying on the AI alittle longer. I am on Arimidex. It will be 5 years in September (was on Tamoxifen until I got my ovaries removed). I just saw my onc on June 4 and he said he wants to keep me on another year and we'll go from there. He is hoping that a trial will finish up that will give some data that staying on is beneficial. He says that if the data says that it isn't, then we will stop then. So, I think I will be on at least one extra year and I think if there is still no data, he will continue. I have no appreciable side effects from it and I was 45 when diagnosed.

Sometimes I think about whether or not to continue as I wasn't greatly hormone positive (only ER+ - 50%) but for now, I'm good (and my 5 yrs on it isn't up until September anyway).

Always remember that being a survivor means you are still alive to live.

Love, Becky

Hey Suzanne!

So good to hear from you. I can hear the joy in your voice. So that son you worried over is now a different kind of worry! Isn't it wonderful! My sons are 18 (tomorrow!) and 19--both out of high school and off to college. Even the tough times were wonderful, because I was there to experience them!

Enjoy all the wonderful times you have coming up. The years pass so quickly.

Life is good.

Enjoy!

Re: been awhile..doing great

Thanks guys
It is wonderful to see my children grow into their own person...as a matter of fact Joshua lost his glasses this week, imagine that. I want to be upset so he learns to be responsible but.....life goes on. A moment i will remember. My daughter rollerbladed to school for the first time today. she is in grade 2 . I was freaking out.
I wish everyone well, thanks to all my her2 family. She was telling me "its ok mom, i fall all the time"

Re: been awhile..doing great

Isn't it the truth? We all fall all the time. And it's OK. The important thing is to get up and try again. [As I'm sure that's what you'd taught your daughter ...]

Thanks for the wonderful posting.
