Sue:
I posted the question a few weeks ago with the same type situation. My sisters' markers were all of a sudden 80 then restested at 97, both after having been previously tested at 30. She is currently on chemo so this was alarming (ie, is it recurring despite the heavy chemo load?). She just went through a CT scan (clean) and a bone scan(clean) - but the waiting and wondering was brutal. Your markers don't seem terribly high - I've read some references that they can exceed 250 - even 800 where there are real problems.
We are now looking into a PET scan to rule out any recurrence. From what I researched, the CA27-29 test does give a false positive in a certain percentage of cases. It can also be affected by other health issues - email me or post reply if you want me to find the lionks to other health issues. They include fibroids.
Go through the tests for peace of mind.
