Dx 2/1/05, Stage 1, 0 nodes, Grade 3, ER/PR-, HER2+ (3.16 Fish)
2/7/05, Partial Mastectomy
5/18/05 Finished 6 rounds of dose dense TEC (Taxotere, Epirubicin and Cytoxan)
8/1/05 Finished 33 rads
8/18/05 Started Herceptin, every 3 weeks for a year (last one 8/10/06)

2/1/13...8 year Cancerversary and I am "perfect" (at least where cancer is concerned;)

It's always good to see that there is something cooking on the back burner in case our cancer acts up again!
(I was one for whom Herceptin did not work.)

Diagnosed infiltrating ductal carcinoma
er/pr- HER2 + 3.9 by FISH
June-August 2006 AC chemo
August-October 2006 Taxotere + Herceptin
November 18, 2006 Mastectomy 16 involved lymph nodes
Jan 2, 2007 start radiation
Stage IV, Jan 12, 2007 recurrence in cervical lymph nodes while on Herceptin, stopped Herceptin
Rad oncologist extended the radiation field, good response
Started Tykerb Xeloda on beginning of May 2007
Progression to lungs and conglomerate lymphadenopathy July 2007
Undecided about next treatment

Good grief.
I can't afford a regular dosage treatment, even with insurance, and they're talking about "double dipping" and adding to their bottom line?

Don't get me wrong. I am greatful for Herceptin as a way to fight Her2 positive BC, but if I can't afford it, what good is it to me?
