hair curious

Well ladies a simple question. I think. I had my A/C and then had surgery. I went a total of seven weeks without chemo, due to surgery. 18 days ago I started herceptin and taxol. During my 7 weeks off of chemo, my hair grew back a little. I am waiting for it to fall out again. Do you think it would of fallen out by now? not that a 1/8 of a inch makes that much difference, but it does. I feel like I look more like a soldier now, instead of a bald man.

Hi Laurie,
Im not sure if you will lose your hair or not as my hair, eyelashes, and brows started growing on taxol. I will say it was very slow and was more like chicken fuzz on my head, but hey at that poing hair was hair. Once I finished the taxol it really took off , and I sit here a little over a yr. later with hair just past my shoulders, and proudly still growing. I said I would never complain about a bad hair day again - well thats out the window now-lol.
Best wishes,
Michelle

Hi Laurie,

I finished AC in the middle of August and by the middle of Sept, I had hair, even on the weekly Taxol. It continued to grow (slowly) all the way through the Taxol, however my eyebrows and lashes fell out. By the time I was finished with the chemo, I had about an inch of hair on my head (Nov. 2). I went to my hair dresser on Thurs. and got some highlights. I'm so excitied! It's about 1 1/2 inches on the top and I have little curls around my ears and neck. My firends were all amazed that I have so much so soon. It did definitely pick up speed after I finished the treatments.

Even if you lose it- It will be here before you know- and by the way, my eyebrows were back by Christmas! My best present ever!! :-)

Love, Kelly
