Thought provoking. Increased obesity in general terms results in higher background hormone levels and inflammatory factors. Could there be a big difference in fat intake profile in this population compared with the mean?

How does the occurrence rate compare with national rates.

1062 incidences in 59.000 in ten years was the rate in this instance if I read this correctly. Is this rate low?

What was the age profile of the original sample.

Only a top of the head unchecked thought, but could this be a reflection on diagnosis rates and access to medical resources etc. in any way rather than BMI?.

Do larger women have a greater tendency to remain undiagnosed?

Any body any thoughts on my above slightly random musings

Perhaps it is also where on the body the fat is. Abdominal fat is supposed to be bad and is the place where postmenopausal women gain (like a man). Whereas premenopausal gain is in the booty and thighs - not metabolically aggressive fat.

Perhaps this is the difference. Diet may also play as I always think of food as medicine -- be it good medicine or bad medicine.

I read somewhere that thin woman are more diagnosed with Her2+. And also Her2+ and harmonal are inversely proportional if anybody is just Her2+. I also read somewhere many of the woman mentioned in the article are diagnosed with nonhormonal BC. I am just guessing, it may not be true.
