Thank you and asking for prayers

Hi to my HER2 family,

First off I want to thank you for wishing me a Happy Birthday. This was what they call the "Big 50". And believe me no one let me forget that. I am very thankful for getting this far and for all the love and good wishes sent my way. And Chrisy that was my name in the chat room (good guess). I can't believe Becky remembered that. There was some confusion with my chat room name so I used that to get on. It was a nickname my dad had for me when I was a little girl (many moons ago). Anyhow, I have been biting at the bit to not say anything as I know this has not been the best of times for us, but I am just asking that you keep me in your prayers in the next few weeks. I found a lump in the left breast (the one thats left) about 3 weeks ago. I saw my surgeon and he also felt it. He sent me for a mammo/sono which came out ok. So I thought this was all good. I saw him Wednesday night and he scheduled me for a biopsy on 6/20. He is not an alarmist but said with the history it is necessary. My husband and I made plans to get away for this coming week for my birthday and his (which is 6/15) and we have not gone away for more than an overnighter in many years. Just one thing after another preventing a getaway. I am putting this on the back burner for now. I don't mean to bring anyone down. I am optomistic and if it doesn't turn out the way I am praying it will then I will deal with it. I know I have your support. If you don't see me on for the next week it is because I am disappearing for a bit. Please keep me in your prayers.

Thank you and God Bless,

Liz J.

Thumbs up

Liz,I will keep you in my prayers and hope that all comes out for the good. Your dr. is right. I would certainly want a biopsy to make sure. God will be with you through this and we'll be here for you when you come back.

Peace to you!!! Kacey

Have a great vacation! Forget about everything except you and your husband until you get back. It probably is a good idea to have the biopsy just so you and your doctor know you covered all the bases, but hopefully, it will come back negative. Take everything a day at a time as God gives us the strength for whatever we face each day. God bless.

Dear Liz,

I can only imagine your fear over this as any of us would feel as you are feeling. However, the good news is that you are following through to find out what is going on.

I ask God to let it be nothing and for His peace to surround you as you wait.

Hugs,

Mary Jo

I am glad you shared your news. This is a fact of life that we all live with now. I hope this is a benign cyst. Whatever it is, you can treat it. You are in my prayers.

Liz, don't ever feel bad about sharing news - good or bad. You are not a downer (although we all agree, bc can certainly be!). Tough decision on back burnering the vacation. On one hand, you've been planning and looking forward to this, and deserve it! But if you think you would not be able to enjoy it with the biopsy in the back of your mind, maybe you're right to postpone it. Your doctor is right to be extra cautious with your history, but hold on to the sono and mammo being ok. That is the only thing you KNOW.

You are most certainly in my prayers, and I'm holding thoughts that this will prove to be nothing and you can reschedule that trip as a celebration!

Much love,
Chris

Liz, I'm a bit late getting on the birthday wagon, but I hope you and your husband celebrated in style in spite of it all. I know the anxiety can really put a damper on these special days, but just try to keep the biopsy on the back burner.
I was diagnosed the friday before our silver wedding anniversary, and it made for an unforgettable weekend, let me tell you, but that was 8 years ago; We're coming up on 33 this August.

Hang tough kiddo, and keep us posted.

Honey, never worry that you are bringing anyone down, we are all here for support and prayers. There would never be anytime that would be bad to say your mind and ask for help. Yes, many things have happened this week, but above all, that is why we are here!! Sending a gy-normus hug and plenty of prayers your way and hubby and I will keep you close to heart at this time of need. As a matter of fact, we are in a hard spot ourselves right now, something stopped working for my husband and we will be going to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in the next week or so. Cancer stinks!!! >Waiting For A Miracle>>Believe51...(Marie G)
