Nominate a Cancer Hero

Several of our members come to mind>

Regards
Joe

Dear breastcancer.org Community Member:

If you know someone extraordinary who has made unparalleled strides to inspire and motivate people affected by cancer and their loved ones, NOMINATE THEM for the Strike Out Cancer Hall of Fame recognition program!

The program will select ten people who continually work to inspire and motivate others in the cancer community to be inducted at special recognition ceremonies on-field at Major League Ballparks (including San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, Washington D.C., St. Louis, Denver, Dallas, San Diego, TBD). Anyone touched by cancer is welcome to attend.

So, please nominate those people you feel embody the spirit of the program by providing unparalleled support, education and hope to people affected by cancer by going to
http://www.strikeoutcancer.com/hall.html

Strike Out Cancer will also be hosting four regional patient education summits in Washington, D.C., New York, NY, Houston, TX and St. Louis, MO. These summits will focus on the science behind new approaches to cancer therapy, as well as the latest innovations in side effect management and psychosocial support. Check the Strike Out Cancer website soon for more details about these four summits and other events taking place in a city near you:
http://www.strikeoutcancer.com/road.html

You may also make YOUR personal story part of the Strike Out Cancer Stories of Hope: share your experience with other survivors, families and friends affected by cancer by going to:
http://www.strikeoutcancer.com/submityourstory.jsp

As most of us have experienced, stories of empowerment and encouragement can provide inspiration to those in need.

So, please get involved in the Strike Out Cancer education and empowerment program and help to encourage people affected by cancer to seek out information about new treatments, support networks and educational resources.

Many thanks for your support,

Melissa Jenkins, Community Coordinator
...and the breastcancer.org team
