Just got home from my Gamma Knife treatment. Wasn't a walk in the park but not quite as painful as had anticipated. The anxiety of the unknown I believe was much worse than the procedure.
We were to have an ice storm Monday night into Tuesday morning so decided to go into Pittsburgh and stay in a hotel not far from hospital. We live in the country and had enough anxiety about the procedure without worrying about driving an hour on icy roads and being there at 6:00 a.m.
They did have problems getting one of the screws into the skull, but the pain itself only lasts for about 3-4 minutes. Hopefully this will take care of the brain tumor. Really won't know anything until they do another brain MRI in about 6-8 weeks.

Annamarie,
So glad to hear it went well, and that you're home "restin' easy". You are a brave warrior!
Hugs,
Lolly
