I usually just wander around the mystery section of the library and get whatever book catches my eye, though some favorite authors I read everything they've written. I do also read up on different subjects that catch my attention, like the Andrea Doria, Titanic, ghosts, and the Civil War. But as I was bypassing through the large print section I found a book on the Civil War I'd never seen or heard of before. It was Confederates in the attic by Tony Horwitz. It was different but it was good. Learned some stuff I didn't know before. And now I have to find some other books to check out what he said.

I've been reading a lot this summer since I don't have Dilly full time when I'm off like I usually do. Do have her this week so I've not read as much, which I can sometimes read a book a day. To celebrate our town's 150th birthday in 2010 they're trying to get people to read 150 books before then. I can do that! Anyway, y'all should read "Mistaken Identity". It's really good, and my heart really goes out to those poor families.

Here's another one from me, but I said I've been doing a lot of reading this summer. It is Quiet Stength by Tony Dungy. Yes he coaches the Colts, but it's not about football. He does talk some about it but it's about his life as a christian.

I just finished reading Grace and Grit for the second time. I read it much slower the second time around and learned so much from the book. It is a very emotionally powerful book and at the same time I received a significant amount of personal enlightenment and awareness.
