Thumbs up Polio Virus

If you missed the 60 Minutes (Killing Cancer) episode this evening, you can probably find it on YouTube in the coming days.

Big things are happening at Duke University with use of the polio virus.

Passing on a good thing...

Re: Polio Virus

This is available to watch anytime on the website: 60 Minutes Poliovirus Trial .

There are quite a few articles discussing whether such an enthusiastic story on national TV was premature and/or misleading. This one has some of the context, and some history of both this specific treatment and immunotherapy in general: Brain Cancer: Did '60 Minutes' Report Raise False Hope?

And another fairly balanced discussion: What '60 Minutes' Got Right And Wrong On Duke's Polio Virus Trial Against Glioblastoma

As usual, I find the discussions almost more interesting than the original information!

Re: Polio Virus

My integrative hematologist-oncologist, Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, speaks to FOX5 on the polio virus:

He is also the author of The Gene Therapy Plan, due out in a few weeks. It already holds the number one best-seller spot based on pre-sales. Join Dr. Gaynor's blog for free life-changing information: genechanger.com.
