USA TODAY article about drug costs

Dear HER2support.org community,

I cover cancer and cancer survivors for USA TODAY, and Christine Handal Druther, founder of this site, gave me permission to post this notice. Christine and I met at the recent meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, when I visited her booth. I have heard great things about this support group from other cancer survivors, so I was really happy to meet Christine and hear a little more about this community. I don't want to intrude on anyone's privacy, so I hope that no one minds if I post the following request:

I'd like to write about the cost of cancer care. As most of you know, new cancer drugs can be quite expensive. If you have had trouble paying for cancer drugs -- and would like to share your experience with me and with readers of USA TODAY -- please contact me at lszabo@usatoday.com. I try to write about articles that affects the nation's 10 million cancer survivors, as well as their families and loved ones, and this issue does seem to be important. I'd like to discuss the issue in a respectful way that, I hope, will illuminate how drug costs affect everyday people. I may also talk to some experts about possible solutions, as well. I hope the story will be useful to both survivors and general readers.
