Question Immune system supplements

Hi all.

Haven't posted for a while. Had the other implant put in, ovaries removed and port removed ( i miss this last the most- so convenient you know). sore still but ok. had a lot of scar tissue and feels like a third c section

Anyway, a lady in another support group mentioned Wobenzyme (sp?) was a great supplement to boost the immune system. I'm looking for a good supplement for overall immune system boosting. I do take centrum silver and calcium and glucosamine. I know I should add some magnesium

Has anyone of you heard of this or even taking it?

I also heard that L-arginine is good for moistening the lining of stomach etc, which is good if you're dry down under! Have you heard of this also?

What else is over the counter to protect our bones. like bone mets

We have had a few diet and other topics lately so maybe this is another to add to that list.

By the way, my daughter graduates from college next week. I'm so blessed to be here for that. What a gift.

Love to all

I found a good reference book about supplements a year ago called Complimentary Cancer Therapies by Dr. Dan Labriola. You might want to look for it as it answers a lot of questions about all the different supplements. If you are in any kind of chemo treatment, I suggest you talk to someone knowledgeable (nutritionist, etc) before adding supplementation to your regimine. I actually do phone consults with Dr Labriola about twice a year to be sure I am taking what I need to take and not taking things that could compromise my treatments... we don't want to negate what the chemo is doing! And certain vitamins and supplements can interfere with chemo... be careful of super-dosing - proving not to be a good idea.

Ask your doc about Fosamax or Boniva for your bones... and talk to nutritionist or onc about proper dosage of calcium.

Congrats on your daughter and keep well.
