Spoken to Oncologist and Surgeon :-)

Hi again everybody,

Just a bit more to report. I've spoken with the head of the breast care clinic and Froedtert, twice - my surgeon from Froedtert. All in a 2 hour period, the head of the breast care clinic, spoke to my radiation onc. here in my city, got a copy of the PET report faxed to them. She then contacted my surgeon who read the report - my oncologist talked with my radiation oncologist here in my city. Long story short - they feel there is nothing to worry about. I was told that lymph nodes can light up for a number of reasons. This lymph node had a "small light up" and is the lymph node on my non-cancer side. The way the report was written (from my little town of Sheboygan Wisconsin at our local hospital) the radiologist who read the PET was under the impression that my breast cancer was on that side. It was not. The advice of my oncologist and surgeon was to "let it go" and watch it BUT if I wouldn't be satisfied with that answer to consider an ultrasound of that area. If the lymph node can be found and coralated with the picture they would possibly stick a needle in it to biopsy but if they feel it looks normal on ultrasound we are going to leave it alone. I am very comfortable with this. For whatever reason I am very much at peace with it all and was so so so so so happy that after 17 months since my surgery my body looks "perfect."

I was so impressed with my "team" at Froedtert. In a 2 hour period they took care of everything with just one phone call from me. They truly are the best.

I thank God for the Peace he's allowed me to have by having this PET and all turning out as well as it did. I feel that my life can really get on with itself now.

Thanks all for listening.

Mary Jo

Praise God is right!

Mary Jo
I have been axiously awaiting your results. I am so happy for you. Thank you for keeping all of us up to date. I know that having those tests are comforting and a big relief once the good news is in but the waiting for the results is very stressful. Anyhow, I just wanted to celebrate with you. Praise our wonderful Lord!

Thank you Lisa. Yes, you are right. The waiting and wondering is very stressful. However, with the Lord right by my side I got through that as well.

Thanks again for your prayers and well wishes. Tell Leslie "hello" from her Wisconsin friend.
