Wink New Campfire

Hi,
Our old campfire was closed by Post due to spammers.
http://her2support.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51914
This is unfortunate, because we lost our place to relax by the campfire or hang out and spend time with each other. Link to old campfire.
http://her2support.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=37483
Since the old campfire was a popular place over the years Bill and I decided we need a new campfire.
I found this nice new spot in a beautiful forest near a lovely lake for everyone (except spammers) to enjoy.
I am starting to move the smaller things today and hopefully Bill will follow with the bigger things, so we will be just as comfortable as we were before.
Please come and help me build the fire later today if you have time.
Feel free to drop by to relax by the Campfire if you need time out from your busy schedule or to spend time with friends there. It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Re: New Campfire

Thanks Elaine & Bill! Great idea. The old spot was getting a little trampled anyway.

I have some dry apple wood I can bring to add to the woodpile.

So, anyone who is feeling a need for sympthetic company, needs cheering up or has a good joke or story to share, follow the HER2 signs down the path to the campfire site.

Thanks for the applewood Steph. It will help keep the fire going. Also thanks for making the her2 sign, so our members can find the new campfire.
I am leaving a thermos of green tea and a few snacks for those who spend some time warming themselves by the campfire tonight.

I thought I would bring my breakfast down to the campfire and relax by the fire on a lazy Saturday morning. Anybody want to join me for some cereal, fruit and coffee?
You guys are welcome to bring the scrabble board over here and play by the fire where it is nice and cozy.

Re: New Campfire

I brought some pinecones and pistachios. Both are fun to toss in the fire because they burn really pretty. Of course you eat the pistachios first then just toss in the shell.

by the way does anyone know what time it is? All my clocks say different things

Re: New Campfire

I can bring some pinecones too! Good idea, Chrisy. Better than tossing them in our yard waste bin.

I resent most of our clocks before bed last night, so we would not sleep in so much like last year when I forgot!

Sorry I missed breakfast yesterday, Elaine. Had too much garden cleanup to do while weather is holding.

I brought my breakfast down here to sit by the fire and warm up. I brought some Portuguese sweet bread to share. It is very popular in Hawaii.
I am glad to be back online, but I have alot to catch up with. I had problems with the internet server for almost a week. Eventually I will be changing internet servers, but being online makes it easier to look around for a new provider.

I just dropped by to sit quietly the night before Thanksgiving and think about my blessings.
I will leave some homemade cranberry sauce in the cooler and some warm squash and pumpkin soup by the fire for whoever drops by. Sorry, no turkey. I am vegetarian. Smile.

Re: New Campfire

Wow, what a nice new campfire. You gals have that thing raging. It feels really good, warmin' me bones just right. Elaine, thanks for that awesome birthday cake. I know how much willpower it took you lasses not to nip into it while I was away, but here, let's slice that thing up and pass some around. I love the cracklin' of a good fire and the spirited chatter of good company around it. Here's to all of you!

Ah that cake was delicious. Good to have you around the campfire again Bill, especially since you built our first one.
I am leaving some "kicked" up oatmeal and coffee on the fire for all to enjoy around the campfire this morning. I have been sitting here relaxing by the fire and eating some oatmeal and having my morning coffee.

Re: New Campfire

Hi Gang! Thought I'd drop by to say hello and warm up a little bit. Here, let me toss a stick or two onto the fire.....you know....those sparks... shootin' up there towards that quarter moon remind me of the time when I was camping out in Arizona.... and spotted that shapeshifter just at the edge of our clearing. Have I told that story before? Maybe we should sit around the fire here and swap stories. I would tell it now, but I don't want to tell it if I've already told it. Here, let me stick my little tinfoil packet of almonds and walnuts next to the coals. I'm gonna lay back a bit and let my mind wander off and contemplate God, Man, our places in time and space, and the nature of all things, both real and imagined. If I doze off, someone keep an eye on those nuts and help yourselves when they're nice and crunchy.

Wink Re: New Campfire

I ate some of the almonds and walnuts when you were napping, but I did leave some macadamia nuts for you to snack when you wake up.
Good idea about sitting around the campfire sharing stories. Don't worry about telling the same stories. I am sure there will be folks who haven't heard them yet. We all have stories to tell since we all come from different backgrounds and have had different life experiences.
We need to have a weekend or at least a one day camp out. I will bring the marshmallows, coffee and tea for sitting around the campfire and the fixings for a delicious breakfast if others can bring the lunch and dinner fixings.
