IP6

Hello,

My wife has skin mets and now a very suspicious lesion on the liver. I have been looking into IP6 and was wondering if she can take this while on Chemo. Currently on Xeloda, but assume taxotere will be added shortly. Also, is anybody else taking IP6. I ordered some yesterday from the vitaminshoppe.com

I've been taking IP6 along with multiple other supplements recommended by my traditional chinese medicine doctor.I've been following his customized regimen for over a year.
I was diagnosed in May 2002 Stage IV (liver mets)at primary dx.After 49 weeks of 3 different chemo combos, I have been NED since 9/11/03!I continue to be well and remain on my complimentary regimen while on weekly herceptin.

You should always check with your oncologist about anything taken during chemo - some things can interfere with the treatment.
