My friend was diagnosed with stage IV BC late November of 02,Started A/C (6 treatments in dec of 02) lumpectomy and lymph nodes taken in May 03 - 2 weeks later they took the breast - 6 sessions of taxol, followed by 5 weeks or radiation. Clean CT and PET end of Oct 03 - Now Feb 12th she has mets to lungs and adrenals - today they put in a second lung catheter - her other close pal and I are trading days draining them. She has just started Herceptin - I am concerned because today one week after her lung was drained they fot a liter of fluid and then inserted the second catheter - it seems like the Herceptin may make this problem worse? Any info out there?
