Hi - My Onc said that my system became imune to the weekly doses. I don't think that is standard protical either to weekly but he was trying to keep my standard of living as normal as he could. So - when it stopped working he put me on every three weeks. I have a friend that I have meet at chemo that is 56 and she is also HER2+ with mets to her liver (10 of them!!) She is on the same thing I'm on for med's without the carbo and she just got her scan back as has at least a 50% reduction of tumors on her liver. She is really trying to get on carbo but her insurance won't cover it. She's trying to get on a trial program like she did with taxotere. I am confident that things will keep improving on the meds that I am on!! Sometimes it's not so easy to think that way when you're on the down side after treatment but I know that things will work out.
Hugs back to you and your family. (what's your birth date? both of my best friends are turning 40 in March - I don't have to think about that number until July.
