Charlotte,

My wife, Cyndi has had similar problems with Pleural Effusions and also fluid around her heart. Thankfully, she has only had to be drained on one side one time and does not have a permanent drain tube. Her first treatment was with Taxotere and Herceptin, which is when the problem was at its worst. She was taken off all treatment for about a month, and then started back with Taxol only. Last week the Herceptin was added again and the fluid started building again, the Herceptin is again on hold. Cyndi is now receiving only Taxol but… the tumors continue to shrink. Her oncologist will try Herceptin again after she is NED.

Thank you and her other close pal for being such a good friends. I believe that kindness to others is returned at least ten-fold. God blesses those who bless others.
