Test for Omega 3's

Hi Amazing Group,

I just found out about a way to test yourself for your Omega 3 levels with a simple finger prick blood test. I found out about it from Dr. Amen in his newsletter and he is endorsing this tests for his patients. The test is done by mail order in Canada, it is not yet available in the U.S.

What you need to do if you are interested is go to this website: http://www.nutrasource.ca/NDI/DiagConsumer.aspx and then email them a request for information on the test. They send you an email explaining the costs ($135, not sure if that is American or Canadian currency?), what is included in the cost and a sample of what the test results will look like. The slant on this is for heart health, but as we here know, it affects us in many other ways.

I will be ordering mine on my next pay day!

Love to you All! Donna

Question Re: Test for Omega 3's

Hi Donna,

Your timing is great for me.... I am scheduled to see my RD again soon and hope to run this by him for comments (although on this you may be ahead of the curve). Thanks so much for sharing this.

If I get near your area on this trip I hope this time we can meet in person.

A.A.

Wink Re: Test for Omega 3's

How interesting. I never knew there was a test for omega 3.I should ask the doctor about it, since I have been trying to get more of that in my diet.
