Update

Hello HER2 dear friends. I haven't been posting much, but I have been following, and grieving the losses with you. I am keeping you in prayer and hoping the 2014 brings us all strength and health and peace of mind.

Today was the last day of my oral chemo for my eye cancer. The last six months have been about regular oncology appointments, EKGs, labs, eye exams, avastin shots in the eye, liver mri's, and chest scans. So far, so good. I have appointments with the specialists in Philadelphia the first week of January and next liver mri in mid January.

Had some side effects of the Sutent, but they didn't get nasty until I battled an abcess (at my groin), at the same time. That is all but resolved, and I'm now looking forward to regaining some strength, some sense of taste, relief from mouth pain, and trusting in my continence again!

The difficult part for me is still the mental, and I'm reading and praying for greater trust in God's plan for me and the provision of his grace to get me through it.

I think of all of you often and keep you in my prayers.

Barb
