Had to read this just to get the definition of "interval cancers." Apparently this refers to cancers the appear between mammograms, hence the "interval" between mamos, which tend to be found in younger patients with denser breasts. These are often indicative of more aggressive cancer types such as Her2 +. There you have it. I am finished sleuthing for the day!
