MRI tomorrow - please pray for me too

Hi,

I seem to have some swelling/lumpiness on the left mastectomy site, so my surgeon has ordered an MRI. I am worried and hoping it is simply benign scar tissue etc. I had something similar last year and it turned out to be benign.

I don't feel upto facing any check ups without first posting here for all your good wishes. I have done it so many times before scans, tests etc and feel at peace as soon as I see the first reply.

So, please pray that my MRI results will be clean and no sign of the dreaded C word.

Lots of love,
shobha

Scary! Although quite often these things are benign, we will never be without that deep dark fear again. Until we get the good results! I'm pulling for you to have great results and hope you will celebrate those with us.

Hugs

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I had something similar under my arm on mast/node removal side. It was just lumpy scar tissue.

Keep the faith.

Praying for a clear MRI. My scare line is rather lumpy, Shobba. It is probably nothing, but best to check it out. Let us know!

Prayers are coming your way from Central Texas.

Shobha,

I had scar tissues taken out not long ago. I know how it feels. The difference is that I was so sure that my cancer had recurred, so the 'scar tissue' report made us very happy - though cautiously because before my 2nd surgery in 2007, my recurrence had been dubbed 'scar tissue' for 4 years. Be vigilant in doing breast self exam is the key (the mammagram right before my mastectomy in 2007 still says 'scar tissue' - what can I say?)

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate all your kind words and the prayers that have now enveloped me and make me feel protected.

Jackie07, you are so right about staying vigilant. My doctors are good but I am never sure if they are being reassuring or dismissive about my concerns. Fortunately, they do order the tests once I start to panic.

I will be leaving in about 2 hours for my MRI. Will let you all know the results as soon as I find out.

Forever grateful to have found this family!
love,
shobha

Hey Girl, I may have been extremely busy lately to post but have been sneaking a 10 minute limit to see who needs what.

Thought the most peaceful and positive thoughts about My Little Shobha today. Although you are always in my thoughts and prayers, today was a day mostly comprised of 'you'!! Love You!! Today is Wednesday so the prayers continue.>>Believe51

What would I do without this family is unthinkable for me now.

My surgeon is on vacation today and tomorrow, so I have to wait for the official report until Monday. I did speak to her nurse/assistant and she told me that the report is normal and they only see some benign scar tissue.

So, I did let out a huge sign of relief but I will feel whole lot more confident once I speak with my surgeon.

You are all so generous for sending so many prayers and peaceful thoughts my way - they work wonders for me!

Thank you again! God bless all those in need of miracles in our family and bless us today.

lots of love,
shobha
