In my opinion, I would do chemo first, and do the liver resection as last resort. In my case, I think the liver resection caused 'microseeding' and 5 months later, I had 8 new big tumors, whereas, I only had 1 when they did the liver resection. During the liver resection, they put a wand or something over your liver to check for any other tumors, and I was told there were none......I truely believe that the liver resection and bleeding caused the 'microseeding' and new tumors to grow, even tho some drs say that can't happen. My brother is a dr, and believes it does happen. My med onc wasn't keen on the liver resection either.... Good luck and what ever you decide, know that you are making the right decision for yourself.
