Question Cure for some cancers?

Has anyone heard about this?On the news, I heard they came up with a possible "cure" for some cancers (includes breast and skin among others).
They will be starting more trials in the future.
Apparently, there were several people in a trial already.
They interviewed 1 man who was diagnosed with terminal skin cancer.
He is now cancer free.
I just caught the end of the interview, but the jest of it is they can "teach" white blood cells to recognize cancer as a foreign entity and attack it.
I will try doing more research on the subject.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/

I found an article in Science Daily (see link).
It's on the 1st page.
It's also noted in other "news" sites.

Not quite!

Sadie it seems although two people responded to this gene therapy 15 others did not so they need to do a lot more research. They just said it is not a cure but a welcoming advance in gene therapy which could in the future be adapted to treat breast and lung cancers.Still too soon to get excited but good news they seem to be advancing more all the time.I got this info from the bbc bty.

I realize it may be years before something definite will be available for other forms of cancer, but knowing there is still another breakthrough that was made makes it exciting news! In one of the articles (wish I could remember which one) it mentioned that this therapy is one that we will see made available in the not-so-far future.
