Update- swollen foot

Hey all! I had an ultrasound on my leg last week to check for a blood cot & it checked out ok- thank God!!!! My pcp put me on an arthritis med(strong anti-inflam.). So far it hasn't helped. My onc told me to deal w/ it w/ my pcp, which really ticked me off, since, I didn't HAVE this problem before chemo!!!!! I know I'm finished w/ chemo, but I'm still taking Herceptin & technically still in his "care"... It's just so frustrating to feel like you're being passed around & nobody knows, nobody cares... I mean if this swelling IS a minor thing & just something I'm going to have to live w/, just tell me!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me rant... I know you understand

Hugs & Blessings, Kelli

It could be from the Herceptin, but I think it is a good thing to check it out with your primary care doctor. You may need to to wear support socks, especially on long trips. It could just really be something that developed in spite of the breast cancer. It could also just disappear when you finish Herceptin. Do you have any family members who have had this condition? My husband has it and does not have blood clots.

It can be treated, and your primary doctor may recommend some good specialists.

Best wishes,
Barbara H.

My onc is the same way with things like that. Used to make me crazy. Good luck getting some help.
