Herbal Medicine a boost for my Taxol/Herceptin regime
Hi, Just wanted to let you know that I have had my second last Taxol for this current treatment regime. Started it on 12th March and will finish next week, 2nd July. i went to a naturapath who has worked in nuclear medicine in the past and is knows her way around chemotherapy. She told me from the outset that chemo is at one end of the spectrum, and her brief was at the other (natural) end, and all she was gonna do was give me a mixture to "boost' my health. I have been taking her mix twice a day, and my WBC were 7.1 today and my neurophils were 4.1. That's pretty good , when during adjuvant therapy I had to have a stemcell injection after my 2nd last Taxol as my neurtophils were so low. I am really pleased, but hope that the mix hasn't been feeding up the cancer cells as well!! Fingers crossed. But I have felt really well right thru this regime and that is a godsend.

diagnosed June 03. Rt sided Inflammatory BC in rt lower quadrant. 7cm tumour. Also 3 DCIS. 3 rounds of EC, mastectomy with axillary clearance (12 nodes+ of 19). 1 more EC. 5 weeks of rads, with weekly booster to attack skin lymph involvement. 4 cycles of Taxol. Tamoxifen.Recurrence December 04, Herceptin started early Jan05,+ Arimidex.
NED 26 mths. Recurrence early Mar07. Taxol added to Herceptin. NED. Will have total of 6 cycles, then Aromisan and Herceptin. Early Oct 07, recurrence to the pesky right upper lobe, with some pleural thickening upper rt hemithorax. T/X now the treatment. May 2008, Taxatere and Herceptin for lung recurrence
