Question Old Threads

When I saw the thread that Sassy had finished taxol I had to give my head a shake ... thought I'd fallen down the rabbit hole. Is there any way that the old threads can be marked? We definitely need access to them because there's tons of info in them but it gets confusing when someone resurrects an old one. Can this be done???

Re: Old Threads

I think a lot of the old threads somehow become spam bait, and one of us moderators deletes the spam...we do have system plans to stop the spammers. Sooner the better!

Re: Old Threads

Good point pink girl. If i find an old thread that someone is reponding to as if a current one i try to post flagging it up. The other day someone responded to an old post by our sister Jackie Handley who has sadly passed away.

Re: Old Threads

I think it happens when someone 'searches' a topic and they find what they're looking for in an old thread ... Maybe there could be some kind of icon beside a thread once it's a year old ... or something like that ... a flashing red light ... a picture of Moses ...

Re: Old Threads

I get confused too Pink but always check the date now, I brought forward Lani's thread of herceptin side effects real and perceived at her request yesterday, she thought it may be helpful to post a link there to my old thread of itchy rash on herceptin (someone else had brought forward) lol....strangely I can't find it now....

Re: Old Threads

I think, Pink, these old threads appearing from time to time raise good points to revisit and are usually resurrected by newer members. Sometimes for those who have been here for a time it can be painful to see posts authored by our fallen friends, but on the other hand it brings them to the forefront of our minds where we can fondly remember them. In a way it honors our fallen and unites us all together in this journey, old members and new.

Of course, Pink, it does challenge our "chemo brains!" Now do not laugh, please, but can I just tell you how I watch shows that apparently, according to my incredulous husband, I have watched three, perhaps four, times before. I tell him it is all new to me, or mostly new, with a few vague deja vu moments. He does acknowledge that it must be nice in a "sick sort of way" to be so forgetful. I tell him it makes life a true mystery and a surprise a minute! Right now I am watching last year's Christmas Dr. Who special (gotta LOVE the Doctor!). Cannot remember one blasted thing about it! How cool is that? Whoops, gotta go Matt Smith just tumbled out of the best fireplace.....
