Taken off Trial-Me, Too

Hi Shannon: I'm sorry you had to be removed from the trial. The same thing happened to me after two bad MUGA's. The good news is my heart DID repair itself within about 2 months. I, also, felt very nervous without my weekly Herceptin. I had Herceptin in combination with Taxol and then by itself for about 4 months. My Onc. thought that the major benifit we got from Herceptin was to make the chemo drugs work better. ( I also read where it is supposed to make radiation work better, too. ) So he felt that even though I couldn't complete the full year I was to get it I probably got the positive benifits from it. He might be right. I was at Stage IIIA and have had no disease progression and been NED for almost a year now. It DID take me a little while to get my confidence back and not freak out over every little ache and pain. Take Care, Linda
