Radiation burns? HELP

Can anybody tell me how long to expect this weepy, sore, stinky mess to last?

I had my last radiation November 20 and last week, my skin started peeling. Friday the onc told me to get Vigilon dressings and at $9.00 each, I hope to only need a few! They are supposed to be changed every one to three days, but this mess is awful! The dressing is 6x8 inches and is full of stinky goo. Has anyone else had this? I'm wondering if it is cancer marching across my chest or if it is only the radiation effects. Help!

My skin burned and oozed. It looked like green jelly. They had to stop the radiation early. They gave me these jell packs that I kept on it at all times. But they gave me them in the office and I didn't have to buy them. With in a week it looked so much better. I was then told to keep it moist for the next 6 months. My skin looks great now. Patty H
