A Special Mothers Day

Yesterday, my sisters and I went to visit my Kindergarten teacher, who is in a nursing home....she is 101, has the most beautiful soft skin, and more love for people that I can imagine 1 person having....we have kept close contact over the years, we took her a bouquet of hand picked Lily of the Valley (from my sisters house) and a card. She is so sharp...remembers everyone she taught. I was her 1st Kindergarten Class in 1957....I still carry her picture from that year in my wallet. She truly Mothered many children over her years as a teacher.....a special woman who forever holds a place in my heart.
God Bless Teachers and Mothers Everywhere.

Sheila,

Chinese like to be around old people - especially those who are over 100 - I guess we feel like we can rub off their sleeves and get some good luck (blessings)from them. You definitely are blessed.
