and also, i read this:

"Co Q10 can act as a blood coagulant. This might be a problem for someone taking a blood thinner such as Coumadin. There have been at least four reported cases where Co Q10 apparently decreased the anticoagulant effects of Coumadin.

If you are taking a blood thinner you should talk to your doctor before taking Co Q10. If warfarin and coenzyme Q10 are to be used together, blood tests to assess clotting time should be monitored frequently, especially in the first two weeks."

I am taking warfarin (1 mg a day for my port) should i be concerned?

thanks in advance!

Coq-10 has not make me sick but my MUGA has stayed the same. I have worked my way up to 400mgs a day over 5 months and lost 20 lbs and no change. Maybe it would have gone down with out coq-10. My local Dr. does have me on a heart drug that brought my MUGA score up. Read my signature and you will see it. Both my Drs. agree that I will be on Herceptin indefinitely so I too am working on bringing my score up. This diet I am on cuts out all sugar and flour. It's very healthy. My neighbor and I are going to start walking on Monday. A little exercise can also help.

Thanks Alice for that info.

I went to walgreens yesterday and bought a bottle of 75mg softtabs of CoQ-10. I took one this morning. Lets see how this works out.

Thanks for all the info!

If you have to go off Herceptin, you could try Tykerb. Might even get better results since it works on more than one Her receptor. I don't remeber hearing of a heart issue with Tykerb.

Wink muga keeps dropping

I remember reading that Tykerb can cause the same heart issues as Herceptin can cause.
