Good grief Joy (and Jennifer!) -
I am horrified to hear what is happening to Joy - I just read through the last few months of posts and am stunned by the news or Joy's worsening condition. And 1500 cc's of fluid?!? That is a good 3 pounds - happy that is off her belly- but that will do little to offset the worry that is no doubt plaguing her at night. Nights are the worse - but a good time to pray and just try and find quiet peace.
Joy, I agree with your whisper of a thought that you had in April - your cancer is no longer behaving like Her 2 type - did you have it biopsied again?! I just got home last week from a metastatic breast cancer network conference at Dana Farber - and they said when your cancer no longer behaves like Her 2, have it biopsied again, as it often mutates. So, honey, have a good cry, recover from this most recent horrific episode then put on your incredible full spirited face and march into your oncologists office and ask him about doing another biopsy! How is the Ixempra working? Have you tried Avastin?
How thrilled I am to hear you are at your BF's house - I hope you find peace and support there - please; when you feel even a smidge better, tell us where you stand now, how you are handling the Ixempra - how lucky you are to have such a kind sister - sisters are our angels on earth and clearly your Jennifer has wings and a loving heart.
Kind thoughts, loving prayers, hope that soars - on its way to you.
Love Kim from CT
