In the case of Erbitux (another monoclonal antibody) and head and neck cancer, they feel that erbitux sensitizes the cancer cells to radiation therapy ie, the radiation therapy is able to kill more cancer cells and prevent recurrence better when the cells are simultaneously attacked and targeted by the monoclonal antibody

I will try to look up if there are any similar articles with Herceptin

I am sure you wouldn't mind getting "more bang for your buck"!

Related to this (but I've not seen anything published) - MY Onc told me they were seeing a radiosensitising effect of herceptin.
