Geez, maybe it's the time of year. I, too, have been suffering with sinus headaches, some dizziness and a foggy brain. All intermittent but annoying nonetheless. I wake often in the night with an excrutiating headache and have to get up to take sinus meds. and some ibuprofen - sleep with 2 pillows and within an hour it's better. I've thought of going in to see if I have a sinus infection but then I'll go a few days and be just fine. That wouldn't be a sinus infection....at least I don't think so. I'm thinking allergies possibly. I was given Flonase last year for these same symptoms but will admit....when things seem to be getting better I think I don't need it. I was told with Flonase it takes like 2 weeks to work and if you're not going to use it everyday, don't bother using it at all because it will do nothing for you unless used daily.

Oh well................here's to the sinus junkies....

I am just going to ask tonight that they find a solution to your problem and that it is better soon!

Rina- I wanted to share my recent experience with you. It was early July 2008 and I woke up spinning. I thought I was dreaming or something ...but nope I was fully awake. I was so dizzy and getting very sick. I thought maybe it was a sinus infection as that can sometimes affect your equal libreum, So I went to the Doctor and he wrote for some antibiotics.... took those for a few days with no relief. Doctors told me to try Bonnie, Dramamine etc. Nothing helped. I couldn't even drive or walk down my hallway without running into the walls. I have NEVER felt like that before, it was terrible. I was so sick I was throwing up all the time, couldn't eat. Then the terror set in "What if my cancer is back and in my brain or something". I ended up in urgent care and because I had a history of cancer they did all the workups....MRI, CAT etc. Everything was clear.... I was some what relieved but then thought maybe they overlooked something. But the urgent care Doctor said it might just be a bad case of vertigo.... which I had never had before. Weird!! Now this was about the third week of it... and it just started easing. It wasn't doing it all day, just here and there and as the next week came it was less and less and until it was finally gone. So I wouldn't get too freaked out yet.... From the time mine started until it was completely gone was a little over 4 weeks. But I have not had an episode before this nor after it. I took zofran for the nausea and stayed in bed most of the time...it would be hard to fall asleep but once I did I would be okay until I woke up. Oh yeah I also had my ears checked and there was no water/fluid like other people told me, it was just really bad vertigo. Hope this helps a little, as I hate to think of another sister thinking the beast is back. Sending good vibes and healthy wishes for you!!!

unknown reason for vertigo

To the two "Angels" and all those who don't call themselves Angels but are...
I also have been having a bad case of vertigo. Have gone through cardiac tests, blood testing, saw an ENT, and in the middle of seeing a specialist for sleep apnea. We also tested for brain tumor.
But I think I have found a possible answer for my Dr here.
I had spine surgery about 4 months ago, had no problems until after three months . I mainly had to do nothing but heal the first three months. When I was allowed more movement, I started having headaches on the left side, neck, shoulder pain and pain in my right upper side. I am wondering if the dizziness is due to pain of healing in the neck and tight muscles from the movements I am doing now, (this is also the side of my breast surgery). I believe there is something to do with balance in that area of the neck also. If everything is tense???
PT could be the answer.
I am so frustrated no driving, holding on to walls and family, and walking unsteadily...
I love reading here and all the great information you all share. If PT will stop this "dizzy blond" from being one.. It sure would be wonderful!
Just to find a reason and help for it...wow
Hugs to you all,

Hi Marily,
You just reminded me of something. After a car accident, I had severe neckpain, vertigo, cognitive problems, balance problems, etc. I was treated with PT for 2 years, which really helped, but I finally cleared up all symptoms with CranioSacral therapy.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craniosacral_therapy

Perhaps this could help you and others too.

Thank you Jacqueline, I am going to your web page now and will certainly research this. My one PT did something like this I think... appreciate your answering.
Hugs and again thank you.

Hello Everyone, I too have been having symptoms similar to Marejo. Feels like sinus problems ... burning nose, tender sinus over my right eye, sinus-like headaches. I went to the ENT and he says he can't really see any inflammation or congestion. Culture came back negative for infection. I went on a trip out of state for 7 days and symptoms disappeared. Came back home yesterday and symptoms are back. Doctor says to suspect allergies ... molds are active in my area now and/or could be something in my house. Trying Nasonex and Claritin to see what happens. I guess it's always sumthin'!
