left-handed

I am also left-handed (5 out of 8 first cousin's on my dad's side are left-handed), and I was also pre-menopausal at time of dx.

Cool Me too!

Left handed and pre-meno - someone told me about it and I thought it was a joke. I did a google search and found a reliable article on it. Amazing...

Post No definite answer on my part, but left-handed, too...

My brother is 4 years older than me and he was actually left-handed, but my father 'forced' him to learn writing with his right hand.

By the time I was born, my father had already learned that it was not healthy to 'force' children to switch hands. I turned out to be left-handed, and my father just left as is.

The rest of my immediate family is all right-handed.

I usually see familes with one relative that is left-handed.

And oh, I was also pre-men at original diagnosis, too.

more re. left-handed and b.c.

Also left-handed and pre-menopausal at time of dx. However, I was dx'd at same age as my mom (50) who was right-handed. And, out of 8 first cousins on my dad's side, 5 of us are left-handed, including my sister. One other female on that side was also dx'd with b.c. in her late 50's. She is also left-handed--I think???

Yes, this left-handed info is fascinating...surprisingly,

I, too, was born left -handed, but forced to change around age 3. I was also and still am OH SO PRE-Menopausal when diagnosed at age 33. I will be 42 next February.

My second sister also showed leanings toward the left hand at an early age, but my dad forced her to switch too, but by the time my next sister came along, I am not sure if dad was just too tired to "tackle another lefty" or if she were just EVEN more strong - willed than he was..smile, but she is STILL a lefty today...and fortunately, she DOES not have her-2.

Keep these good ideas coming. One of the topics for the chat room that I would LOVE us to do would be something along the lines of ORIGINS of HER-2 and let EVERYBODY throw into the MIX...every single cause ... or commonality that they had heard, read, or thought about, and see what we could make of all that. I am very interested to uncover the fundamental origins of her-2, whether they turn out to be bio-chemical in nature, microbial, environmental, herediary or something we have yet to entertain.

Keep those ORIGINAL ideas coming,
Gina
