Some good news...for dcis in situ

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/136107.php

I was especially interested in the paragraph that reads,
No long side effects from radiation such as damage to heart and lung....NOTE: more studies to follow.

This is good news to those who have been worried after radiation about their heart and lung. I have a cousin who had cobal radiation 20 years ago...which is a very strong old form of treatment. To this day they have had no issues with health (thank God) and their cancer has been NED since.

Also liked reading that ove the next 15 yrs. the risk of dying of something else in greater, with a a small 1% to 2% difference.

Each day we get a little bit closer.
