~Marejo's 2,000th Post Thread~
It is Mary Jo's 2,000th post and I thought it would be special to have a thread called 'Make A Wish'. She is always so supportive and wishes so much good for us all. Her shining personality and her caring thoughts are constantly for others, constantly. I think this thread would let us share some beautiful dreams we have for ourselves and maybe some secrets (smiling).
This would be a wish just for ourselves and not for others. The wish could be a dream or a silly thought but it has to be something we wish for ourself. I'll start
I wish that in my life I finally get to go to Italy. I know it will not be with my husband but I would go in honor of him. I want to eat the food and visit art and history. Maybe while eating my lunch the breeze will be just right and the aroma of grapes will fill the air. Or maybe in Venice I will find that perfect Murano glass vase that I dream about all the time. Hey, I could put Mommy's roses in it when I returned. The pictures I would take would win photo competitions and would consist of the pure beauty of Italy.The ultimate would be if I could visit the 'eastern entrance doors to the Baptistry of Florence Cathedral, by Lorenzo Ghiberti. He is Ed's Great-Great...Grandfather. I would stay all over Italy as I absorbed many of its wonders and finally have to force myself to go home. I am not sure if I would go alone, although I perfer it. The language barrier right now prevents it, so for the mean time I am still studying my Italian!! Well, atleast it keeps me out of trouble until I go, for now I dream and study til I make it reality. Here's to reaching for the stars!

Here's to you, Mary Jo! You're the greatest. Thanks for starting a great tribute, Marie. In keeping with the rules of the tribute, I always wished I could take a two week solo kayaking trip down a scenic river somewhere. I've done several days here and there, but never a great length. It takes about a day to get into "river time", but I always wanted to be out there for a few weeks, just paddling and fishing and really feeling it all at a different level.

Marie, my daughter just got back from Italy on Friday. I will e-mail you some pics when we get some. I always wanted to go surfing in Hawaii. We were actually planning a trip and then I found out I was stage 4 and have been too busy battling to take the trip. If I ever see ned it will be first on my list if we can afford it.

I hope someday to meet Goofy face to face, maybe even get a picture with him proposing to me. I have many pictures of Goofy with family and friends, but none with me. Time to visit GoofMan. Don't worry WOS, this can be your wish too!! I Love Goofy!!!

I have always wanted to go to Hawaii...and enjoy the sand, the water and the palm trees...OK, maybe one dance in a grass skirt with the coconut top...(do they make single coconuts for mastectomy patients?)

How I wish this cold and gentle breeze would never end. It pinches my face as I sit in total peace, breathing in, breathing out. I am wondering how much more I can take without breaking apart but the fresh wind reminds me to move on. Live is going on without me and it is a moment like this that helps me to refuel for any more upcoming drama. I see my breathe on this July evening, I thought it was summer but I was mistaken. I close my eyes and am none the wiser, it is October there, I smell the fall in the breeze. I imagine that the fall is surrounding me and I am so comforted, all good things usually happen to me then. Tonight might not be October in anyone else's world but mine and boy is it priceless. Now I am off to dream some more.>>Believe51

Thanks Marie for starting this thread and for your kind words. You are so sweet (as are all the rest of you) I didn't even realize I hit the 2000 mark. Geez, what a chatter box.
My wish is that I would always think of others more than I think of myself. That loving people would just be what comes naturally and that I would be a true servant in every sense of the word.

....i wish I had a banana split.....with lots of thick choc, butterscotch and strawberry sauce (and I don't mean the bottle stuff...I mean like sauce from the Foodnetwork, from scratch) creamy ice cream. nice sweet bananas, and a cherry on top...

I wish I could go for a motorcycle ride, I have not been on one since Ed got diagnosed and I yearn to cruise. I always wanted to get my motorcycle licence but as I get older I guess I get more chicken.>>Believe51

I wish I had a large greenhouse with an area for me to raise all the plants and flowers I would like, plus a tropical area with a pool and a water fall. I could hear the soothing sound of the waterfall all the time.
Sounds like I just need to move in with Harrie!

Neurontin for aches, pains and hot flashes(It works!)
Ovaries removed 11/09 stop Lupron and Neurontin
Arimidex 6 yrs (tried Femara, no SE improvement)
Tried Exemestane-hips got so bad could hardly walk
Back to Arimidex for year seven
Zometa 2X Annual for 7years, Lasix
Stop Arimidex 5/13
Stop Zometa 7/13-Bi-lateral Stress Fractures in Femurs from Zometa
5/14 Start Tamoxifen
3/15 Stem cell transplant to stimulate femur bone growth/healing
5/15 Complete fracture of right femur/Titanium rods both femurs
9/16 Start Evista stopTamoxifen
3/17 Stop Evista--unwelcome side effects!
