Will be overdue for my Herceptin...feeling nervous:(

Hi Friends-
I've been in Hawaii now for ~3weeks and would have been due for my Herceptin yesterday.Amidst all that we've been dealing with -hospice, my father's passing & making arrangements for his services- I'm very delayed in finding an Onc to see me and get my Herceptin.
I have received Herceptin here @a local hospital on a previous visit (5yrs ago),
so I'm still in their system, but I still have to see their Onc first before I can get my infusion.
My appointment with him isn't until next week Thursday, then Herceptin not until a week from Monday, on 4/30. That means it will have been 32 days since my last infusion.
Is this going to be okay? I'm just feeling nervous & edgy and especially desperate to keep this disease under control right now, and of course for as long as possible.

Thanks for your thoughts~

Keep the faith,

Jessica

Hi (or should I say aloha.)
I would call and see if I can get an earlier appointment for the chat with the doctor and the Herceptin.
Do you go to Oncare Hawaii (POB2), Queens, Kuakini, Pearlridge, Kapiolani or Straub?
Too bad I didn't know before this. I am going to Oncare today. If your doctor is there I would have been willing to see if I could help you move up your appointment if you wanted to do that. Oh well Too late for me to ask now.
If you get Herceptin every 3 weeks it might be okay. I think the half life (how long it works in the body) is almost 30 days.

You will be okay. Make sure to ask the onc if you might need a loading dose - probably not. Half is still in there working for you.
