BLOOD CLOT-Fragmin shots?

Hi Her2 friends,
Well, I was just changed from Lovenox to Fragmin shots for the left portal vein blockage. Anyone ever have Fragmin?
I was told to stay away from blood thinners like aspirin. Any supplements I should stay away from? (I am avoiding fish oil, garlic, excessive vit e, and vit c) Thanks for your advice and support. Lida

I do not know anything about Fragmin. Sure hope it works to help dissolve that clot. As for supplements fish oil and Vit E are the biggies. You sound stronger mentally since your last post. I am glad you have found a measure of peace.

Hi Lida, I had a massive clot in my chest from my port about a year and a half ago, I gave myself fragmin shots for several months which cleared it up, I know you have to be careful of blood thinners and be very careful not to cut yourself and also tell anyone taking your blood that you are on blood thinners also in my info sheets it does say if you are on daily low dose aspirin for heart health reason you should continue to do so..81mg-325mg is the range for daily low dose, I don't know of any other precautions except for the elderly, but I would ask your pharmacist. I recently (last week) developed clots in the lungs and they have put a vena cava filter in and I am back to giving myself daily shots again. Take care
