Bumps on the head that come and go.

Hi,

I am 1 year out from chemo, and 6 months out from a year of hecepten. In the last 24 hrs. I have had 3 different lumps come and go on my head. One on the forhead, 1 on left back side of my head and one above my right temple(which is still there) has anyone ever had these? The lumps are the size of half a grape.

Thank you for any advice or comments.

Your question seems to have us stymied! You could be describing something very unrelated to cancer. We have to remember that we are susceptible to other mishaps such as these bumps. Are they near lymph glands, do they hurt, are they bites....
Probably is time to see your doctor and have these examined for your peace of mind and to follow up with us when you find out what is going on. Keep the faith

Smile Re: Bumps on the head that come and go.

Thank you Bonnie and Jackie for responding,

I failed to say I have had a dry cough and hoarse throat for over 6 weeks.

So, My MD sent me to an ENT on Monday. The lumps accured over the weekend.

The ENT said it could only be one of to things swollen lympnodes or vasculitis which niether one wood go away with in 24 hours. He told me to wait a couple of week to see if the cough and Hoarse throat go away or balloon into something else. Also to come in right away if one of the lumps appears again.

I appreciate you all!

Re: Bumps on the head that come and go.

Hi,

Two days later 3 more bumps came at different times. Went back to ENT Dr. He saw them and says its vascular or maybe au. immun. He wants to run a lot of blood tests and I told him I was going to have a reg. phisical next week. (where I will be having blood work done also) He will talk to my Family Dr. on Mon. to add on all the other blood tests. I am starting to worry so Fri. I left a message with My onc. (who was out of the office) whats been going on I will see if he needs to be in on this. I am not sure what kind of a Dr. I should be seeing! Today I started to have a sharp pain in the front right side of my neck that somtimes shoots to my right ear. I no this all sounds odd! I think I should change my thread name? Thank you for wanting to know!

Re: Bumps on the head that come and go.

Hi,
It sounds
as if this is not cancer related. I am no doctor, but I've heard a lot over the past 7 years.
It could be allergy related. You may have become sensitive to a food substance, something in the air, cosmetics, shampoo etc.
Have you recently (over the past 2 months) changed laundry detergents, bought a new hat or scarf, changed your soap, shampoo, creams, lotions, make-up? Could it be a fungus that has started growing somewhere in your house?
All these things could possibly cause those symptoms you are describing.

I hope you find a solution soon.

Hugs

Jacqueline

Re: Bumps on the head that come and go.

I would think it is'nt cancer related either due to the fact they come and go, with cancer I'd assume they'd come and stay!!!

Good luck and hope you get answers soon!

Re: Bumps on the head that come and go.

My onc. called me Sunday and said to let my family Dr. and the ENT Dr. take care of me. He said it doesn't have anything to do with my treatments or cancer! Amen I will chat with them Both tomorrow and have blood tests some time this week. I do feel relieved! Thanks again.

By the the By ENT said he doesn't believe it has to with allergs.

Thanks for everyone's help! this site is really growing on me. Everyone of you really tug at my Heart strings!!
