Kat,
You can't directly test Her2 status of your cancer if it is GONE. There is, however, a blood test that measures serum levels of Her2/neu in the blood.

There have also been numerous discussions on this board, enter Her2 serum test or Bayer Serum test in the search bar to find these. Also, the attached PDF describes the test.

Most of the data is concerning the tests usefulenss in monitoring women with metastatic disease, not so much with "early stagers"

Finally, be prepared to meet resistance if you want to get this test. Many oncologists are not yet sold on its merits, and it may also be difficult to get this paid for by insurance.

However, there are women who have used this test well to manage their treatment.
