Hi Marcia, we'll all be "with" you on Monday. Like the girls said, if you have concerns about the neck pains, tell your doc. and get a test done. Your appointment is Monday, so to help you relax, and get a good night's sleep, you need to follow Dr. Bill's Cure-All. Before bed on Sunday, take a long hot bath. Light some scented candles, listen to a little George Winston piano music (or Beethoven, or Carlos Nakai, Flute music) and just languish in the bubbles and relax, then go to bed and just drift off to sleep. Tomorrow always takes care of itself. Love ya! Bill

We must all be on the same timetable. I have my blood draw on Monday (12th) and my appt the 19th with a Zometa infusion.

I will be thinking of you (I am still on every 4 months - I think I freaked everyone out with that cyst 7 months ago as my rad onc changed back to every 6 months and I went to every yr with him). Oh well - be well. We can swap tumor markers next week.

Sending hugs to you.........and understanding for those anxious feelings. I, too, see my onc. June 5 and I'm starting to have "symptoms" and as of today think I have cancer everywhere. Along with my blood work this time my onc. will be doing the liver enzyme and other liver tests (not sure what they are) I'm getting afraid and am sure I will have liver mets or something soon.

Oh the anxiety of living with this is hard sometimes.....isn't it? So a hug to you and I'd appreciate one back.

Thank you....

tests and checkups

Good thread.

Marcia, mixed thoughts here, but I think you should not hesitate to ask for the imaging. At the same time, I want to encourage you by saying that I had neck and shoulder pain on the affected side that was bad enough that also caused constant vertigo. So... naturally I was worried about the brain. My PCP agreed to MRI of the brain, which turned out to be fine. A physical therapist who specialized in vertigo taught me a few exercises and although periodically I get the neck and shoulder aches I just do the exercises, and I never get the vertigo and the neck and shoulder aches do go away again.

Thinking of you all, hoping exams and tests go well,

AlaskaAngel

Marcia -

First, yes a hug for your check-up anxiety! Second, I was wondering if you had a port? I had neck and shoulder pain as well for sometime after treatment so of course my first, "6 monther" I had lots of anxiety. What I did discover was that the port was causing my problems. No one would have guessed! Port removed and no pain what-so-ever.
Third, we all know about your anxiety which is why we will all give you a "cyber-hug"!

Marcia,
Wishing you a great 6 month ck up on Monday.
I had my 6 month ck up with my onco when I was in CA and it all went perfect. Thank goodness.
For the past month I have been having an occasional very slight discharge and I have been in menopause for several yrs. It is very faint, very light in color and hardly happens. So today I had an ultrasound done and am waiting for those results.
I tell you, I think we are all so tuned in to anything even slightly peculiar!!

Hi folks,
went back to work this past week and due to a shortage of staff (always!) and Mothers Day am working crazy shifts and am pooped!
debra had my port out in August...
I simply cant thank you enough for just being out there and responding. Since by best buddies recurrence news last month...and our loved ones here...its tough believing/acting/feeling like a SURVIVOR. I always have had difficulties referring to myself as a survivor as I dont feel the tallies are all in if you know what i mean?
Big hugs,Marcia

Hey Socco...

Hey Soc -- You have survived the surgery, the chemo, the scans and the tests including the inscanity and anxiety waiting for results. You have beaten the ca into submission. You have survived the reconstructive surgery. You have a Survivor's mentality, Marcia! Claim that. It is yours. You have earned that title. It is who you are! And I wish you more of the same for at least another 50 yrs.

With LOVE and HUGS and wishes for a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY too!
