At what point after start of chemo was change noticed 2 weeks, 4, 6?

Hi, I'm wondering at what point one notices regression on scans. We noticed progression at 6 weeks. I've been on the new stuff for two weeks, but my marker has gone up 2000 point in 4 weeks? I'm totally confused! HavahJ@aol.com (Jan)

Jan, it's different for everyone, I believe. Some notice immediate results, but I think most see results more slowly. Did your onc give you any idea what to expect?

Hi Jan,

I don't know. 2000 points? Sounds scary. I guess tumor markers aren't 100% reliable. Maybe if they could do a new scan and compare the areas of concern, it would be more helpful.

Just want to bump this up so someone who has more useful experience will see it. BB
