Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread

Okay you asked for it. You do realize that I used to be a teacher. Anyways, this weeks quiz will be a fun one. All you have to do is match the silly thing a famous person said with the famous person that said it. Look for the list of silly people below the quotes.

The next quiz after this will be on the subject of Seinfeld.

Silly Quotes:

1. "So, where's the Cannes Festival being held this year?"

2. "You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred."

3. "Fiction writing is great. You can make up almost anything."

4. "I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada"

5. "Predictions are difficult. Especially about the future."

6. "And now the sequence of events in no particular order.."

7. "The doctors x-rayed my head and found nothing."

8. "I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father."

9. "Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be that skinny like that but not with flies and death and stuff."

10. "If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."

11. "Outside the killings, Washington (D.C.) has one of the lowest crime rates in the country."

12. "The word 'genius' isn't applicable to football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."

13. "We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees."

14. "If it weren't for electricity we'd be watching television by candlelight."

15. "Food is an important part of a balanced diet."

16. "There is certainly more in the future now than in 1964."

17. "A bachelor's life is no life for a single man."

18. "Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost a very imortant part of your life."

Game on!

I know one off the top of my head - one of my all time favorites:

9. Mariah Carey would love to be as skinny as the starving kids all over the world - except for the flies and death and stuff.

I'll be back...

Gerri and Jackie:

I hope you are paying attention because here comes the SEINFELD QUIZ. You better type quickly. Here it goes:

1. What is Jerry's address?

2. What was the name of the original script for Seinfeld?

3. What were Jerry's apartment numbers? What was Kramer's apartment number?

4. Jerry appears in every episode. George appears in every episode but one. Which episode did George miss?

5. What is Jerry's real first name?

6. What was the subject of the first conversation of the first episode and the last conversation of the last episode? Hint: It's the same subject in both episodes.

7. When did Elaine move to New York City? Where did she move from?

8. Seinfeld ranked No. 1 in the ratings for each episode of it's entire final season. Only two other shows share that distinction. What were the shows?

9. Before the show was set to air, Jerry Seinfeld asked Jason Alexander what the chances of success were. Jerry answered, "Not a chance." Why did Jason ALexander feel this way?

10. Co-creator of the Seinfeld show, Larry David, went on to star in his own series. What was the name of his show?

11. Who was Jason Alexander's character, George Costanza, based on?

12. What was Jason Alexander's fake name?

13. Which state does Jerry's parents live in?

14. Who's TV celebrity voice causes Kramer to have violent seizures?

15. Who does Newman work for?

16. One of Elaine's boyfriends had the same name as a real life serial killer? What was his name?

17. Who played the voice of George Steinbrenner, the owner of the New York Yankees?

18. What is the name of Kramer's never seen friend?

19. Kramer worked for a bagel company but went on strike for twelve years. What is the name of the bagel company?

YAY, Seinfeld!! Good job Lee, some of these are tough. These answers are off the top of my head - I hope I get them right! I'll be back with more later.

5. Jerry's first name was Jerome

6. (I love this!) The second button on a shirt makes or breaks the shirt.

10. Larry David's own series is "Curb Your Enthusiasm"

11. George Costanza was modeled after Larry David

12. George Costanza's fake name was Art Vandelay

13. Jerry's parents moved to Florida

14. The voice of Mary Hart caused Kramer to have seizures.

15. Newman works for the US Postal Service

20. George ordered his stinky baldness curing cream from China.

21. Elaine's last name is Benes

22. Kramer's first name is Cosmo

And remember, most of life can be traced to a Seinfeld episode!

Gerri:

Superb effort! All eleven of you answers are correct. There are still eleven left to go. Two blue stars and three smiley faces for you.

Pink,

I thought the same thing about #9, but this is what I found:

Jason Alexander told Jerry Seinfeld the "audience for this show is me and I don't watch t.v."

I think the only one left is:

3. Jerry's apt 5A (PinkGirl answered this in #1), Kramer's 5B

Good job everybody! The only thing that got missed was that Jerry's apartment was 3A for a few episodes.

So any ideas for the next quiz?
